So What Is “Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle?”
Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle is one of the original specialist fat burning, weight loss e-books that is published and sold over the internet. Online since year 2000, it quickly rose in popularity becoming the top-seller on digital retailer Clickbank’s Health & Fitness category. The success and popularity of Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle is not based on hype, it can be accredited to the author, Tom Venuto, and the fact that people who follow the system actually get results.
Here’s why…
Tom Venuto, the author is a competitive natural bodybuilder with 20 years experience, he reached 2nd place in the Mr. Natural USA and 2nd in the Mr. Natural North America contests. His articles have been featured in magazines such as; IRONMAN, Australian IRONMAN, Olympian’s News (in Italian), Muscular Development, Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness, Exercise for Men and Men’s Exercise.
And if that’s not enough, he’s also got a load of funny numbers and letters after his names. Tom has a BSc. degree in exercise science, he’s a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT) and more…
I could go on but I’m boring myself, so let’s get to the good stuff.
Claims and benefits:
What’s In Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle?
Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle is comprehensive fat loss system, it’s not designed to just make you lose weight, but to burn fat, without losing muscle and muscle toning - there’s a distinct difference.
Tom covers all key aspects of burning fat and building muscle and goes into to great detail, to make sure you understand what you need to do to burn fat, but also WHY. This gives you a much deeper understanding of the material, making it much easier to apply, as you know exactly why you’re doing it.
I hate it when authors say what to do to, but don’t give you the fundamentals as to why you should. Tom gets cracks this head on.
The Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle eBook itself just touches around 337 pages (not including the superfluous stuff e.g. disclaimers, legal stuff etc), it’s professionally laid out and easy to follow. It’s more or less 100% text with a just few tables, and there’s no filler or padding.
Each chapter of the book focuses on one or two key components or concepts, which makes it quite simple to digest. The main topics that the book covers are;
Goal Setting & Motivation - Do you know the right way to set goals? In this section Tom lays out the strategies he uses to stay focussed and driving towards his goals. Having read this, I can see how Tom has achieved everything he has. He’s highly motivated and works HARD. If you are struggling for inspiration this chapter will give you a lift.
Body Types - This is something I’ll be covering in my Free Fat Burning Course soon as it’s really important, and most people don’t really understand the differing body types. Tom Venuto explains the differences between body types, how your body type affects how you burn fat, and also how it affect how you put on weight.
Diet and Nutrition - Tom really comes into his own in this chapter, laying down the law on what foods and drinks you should be guzzling and those that shouldn’t come within a mile of your mouth. You also get cleverly designed meal plans to follow which more or less removes the thinking involved. Tom gives you ideas for replacements foods for you favourite ‘bad’ foods, so you don’t go completely cold turkey.
Supplements - An interesting and frankly quite eye-opening chapter. Tom digs up the dirt on the advertising that goes on for supplements, debunking many and revealing certain supplements to be overpriced, hyped-up and a waste of time. If you’ve researched supplements yourself, you’ll probably know some of this already, I was surprised a few popped-up that I didn’t realise were so bad…oops.
Cardiovascular Training - One of the big guns for burning fat, without it, you’re more or less sunk. Tom tells you precisely what cardio to do and what to avoid. Think HIIT x1000! Cardio is not meant to be easy, but Tom makes it as easy as possible, by showing you exactly how much and how often you need to train to get maximum results.
Weight Training - The final big gun is weight training, Tom gives you some pretty gruelling weight training routines, just be careful you don’t jump in and try and do too much too quick like me, otherwise you’ll injury yourself. Follow Tom’s advise, take your time and build yourself up slowly.
Bonuses:
In addition to the Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle eBook, you also get 5 top notch bonuses, including 3 reports which are a quick, easy read at around 25-30 pages each.
They are:
These bonuses go well with the Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle eBook, and expand further on some of the sections with the book to give you a deeper understanding.
Upgrade Option:

This is another monster 250 page eBook, which is a 10 part interview series. I didn’t get the upgrade so can’t comment on it as I’m too busy to go through that too. But it’s titled: “The Fat Burn Files: 10 Revealing Interviews With A “Renegade” Fitness Guru”.

The regular Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle eBook is $39.95 and the deluxe edition upgrade is $59.95

Customer Feedback:
Where to begin? Out of all the books I’ve seen this has had probably the best feedback from real users…
“So far I have lost 37 pounds following your “Burn The Fat” guidelines. I was a tight size 18 and am now a loose 12. I weighed 202 pounds and now weigh 165…I have changed my lifestyle and am thrilled with the results on every level… “ - Nena Nerhan - portion quoted from burnthefat.com
“It definitely works. I’ve been doing it for 2 years now and have lost over 100 lbs. And I’m even “bending” the rules! Honestly, even if you don’t plan on going on the “diet” (although lifestyle change is a more appropriate term) the book itself is so full of good information on nutrition, its a great read. It answers almost every question you could have regarding nutrition and exercise.” - Ben - portion quoted from Yahoo Answers.
“Tom Venuto’s eBook is fantastic. It’s based on very good science, a lot of personal experience and common sense info about diet, exercise and personal motivation. It will basically teach you everything you need to know about getting into shape and losing fat, including how to calculate calorie requirements, how to eat better, tips for breaking fat-loss plateaus and training advice for adding muscle.” - Matt - portion quoted from Yahoo Answers.
“I started with 23.4% body fat and went to 16.4 in 12 weeks thats 14.6 pounds of fat that I lost. I worked out hard so i actually gained alot of lean muscle mass so I only lost 5 pounds of weight total but hey thats cool.” - Adam Beaz - portion quoted from Yahoo Answers.
What I Don’t Like:
I felt that it was a bit heavy. It’s an easy read, but there is so much text that reading it on screen tired me out real quick. At 330+ pages I wasn’t in a rush to chop down a tree and print it off, so I had to stick with it on screen. If you can print it off double-sided or with multiple pages to a sheet do it.
Also it could do with some more videos, photos or even just basic graphics showing clearly how to do some of the weight training exercises. This is where books such as Turbulence Training and The Real Deal Body Transformation System, muscle there way into the market, as they contain photos and videos respectively (Turbulence Training suffers on the nutritional aspect though).
Who’s It For?
This is not for the dreamer or the quick fix seeker. This book is for the person who wants to make big changes to their lifestyle for the better. If you have a habit of only half following things through, or letting your books collect dust, don’t buy it.
If you are serious, if you are willing to follow the instructions word for word, then Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle will help you reach your fat burning goals.
Verdict:
Apart from a few points already mentioned, overall, Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle is a top-notch eBook, offering solid, actionable information which is usable by virtually anyone; as Tom doesn’t just focus on one body type or one final body result, he understands not everyone wants to be a fitness model. So whether your goal is to lose 5 pounds or 150 pounds, by following Tom’s methods, combined with determination, persistence and action - you’ll get there.

22|Aug|2008 2Hi,
I’m currently researching various weight loss programs and courses.
So, if you don’t mind please answer in this topic: What’s your single most important question about weight loss?
Cheers, JD
Ian
29|Aug|2008 3Hi JD,
Thanks for the question - personally I don’t have one most important question. The most common one I get asked, is usually something like, “how can I lose 30 pounds in 2 weeks?” - it’s possible but not safe, and not recommended.
