So what is Turbulence Training?
Turbulence training is a popular training program developed by Craig Ballantyne, who is a world-renowned Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and author of numerous fat burning articles which have been featured in magazines such as Women’s Health, Oxygen, Maximum Fitness, and Muscle and Fitness Hers.
Turbulence Training has been scientifically proven as a fat burning routine, I haven’t seen the research papers myself though as proof. However, it has been endorsed by world-class personal trainers, weight loss and strength coaches, and by the editors of some of the top health and fitness magazines, including Men’s Health and Men’s Fitness.
Side Note: These alone are two strong recommendations – not many online products get the backing of major publishers such as these two.
Craig Ballantyne has developed two separate versions of Turbulence Training, one specifically for women and one specifically for men. As Craig realises men and women are different, not just in terms of their goals, but also in the way our bodies work, which is a nice touch.

Basic Edition Core Components:
Turbulence Training for Fat Loss Basic Edition, includes the e-book itself, a 1-hour audio version on MP3, and seven bonus reports, PLUS a bonus 3-month Turbulence Training Membership to Craig’s fat loss discussion forum, which also includes two reports on training for amazing abs.
The Turbulence Training for Fat Loss Basic Edition is a 126 page guide, with 26 weeks worth of fat burning workouts, which start at a fairly easy, low level and gradually build up the difficulty level as your progress through the course.
Turbulence Training workouts are devised by Craig, there’s no time wasting or messing around. The exercises, sets and numbers of reps are all tailored for maximum efficiency and effectiveness so you can get maximum results in minimum time.
There’s no fluff or padding and Craig gets straight to the point. If you haven’t exercised for a long time and are badly overweight you’ll struggle, even with the beginner workouts as they are quite intense unless you’re used to some sort of physical exertion. But if you are prepared for hard work and sweat, you should see results.

Whether you think the upgrade is worth the extra money really depends on your goals and what you are trying to achieve. If you just need to lose a couple of pounds a week and haven’t done much before just start with the basic edition. The deluxe edition is definitely for more serious athletes that need help getting their bodies into top-notch shape.
Price:
Turbulence Training comes in at $39.95 for the Basic Edition which is more or less industry standard for this type of package, while the Deluxe Edition is significantly more expensive at $97.
However the cost to hire Craig to write you a 4-week training program is around $100. In Turbulence Training you get 26-weeks of training plans which go from beginner to advanced level.

Craig offers a 8-week, no-risk money back guarantee. If you follow Turbulence Training religiously for 8-weeks I doubt you’d ask for you money back.

What I Don’t Like:
It needs a bigger focus on the nutritional aspect of fat burning and eating a healthy diet. The Nutrition Guide bonus report, is a good addition, but I feel that healthy eating should be a bigger thrust and focus of the system. As it is, the nutritional aspect just seems to have been stuck in last minute. Healthy eating and exercise should be equal partners in the fat burning equation.
Who’s It For?
I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who is really, really overweight. The exercises will be too challenging and intense (if you’d like another suggestion just ask).
This is more for someone who wants to lose 5, 10 or 20 pounds, not someone who needs to lose 50 or 100+ pounds. If you want to get a hot body for the summer and are prepared to sweat and work hard in the process, Turbulence Training will give you the workouts and training to get there without starving yourself or going on a dangerous crash diet.
Verdict:
Finally something that doesn’t promise the world and fail to deliver. While Craig Ballantyne does make some big promises, they are backed up with theory and results. Turbulence Training is not some pie in the sky quick fix instant fat burning solution, but is a rigorous training routine that takes you from a low base level up, and up over the the course of a few mouths.
If you are looking for a quick fix, this aint it – as I keep saying they don’t work. But if you are looking to make lifelong positive changes to your body and your lifestyle Turbulence Training is a great starting point.
