To do this exercise you’ll need to get yourself to a gym or spend some money on getting the equipment. This is one of the best abs exercises, and really works your rectums abdominals and your obliques.

If you don’t know what a captains chair is, click here for some pictures.

Here’s what you have to do…

  • Climb up on to the chair, hold on to the hand bars to give yourself extra stability as you workout.
  • Push your body/back against the back of the machine. Contract your abs and raise your legs and lift up your knees.
  • Pull up your knees right up to your rib cage.
  • Slowly lower your knees and legs to the start position
  • Try to breath evenly and smoothly throughout, and try not to arch your back.
  • Aim to do 3 sets of 8-12 reps
