08|Oct|2008 1Thanks for the Emails and special reports you’ve been sending out. I would like to see some diet plans or menus examples if you could, also can you go into more detail in the workout lesson?

14|Oct|2008 2Hey James,
Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you have enjoyed the messages I’ve sent you. I’m assuming my “more detail” in terms of workout lessons, you mean how to actually physically do the exercises I mention?
I added a new post yesterday (?) that kind of covers what you want. There’s 7 hard workouts for you to watch (yes, videos!) with a range of different exercises for you to include in your training sessions. Here’s the link: 7 Workouts To Burn Fat and Build Muscle. Also here’s a PDF for a 4-week workout program with pictures you can follow.
To answer you first question regarding the diet plans/menus, I have a sample of meal daily plans I refer to, from 800 calories per day to 2000 calories per day. The great thing about them is they take the thinking out of what to eat each day.
The plans are in rough format for my personal use, so I’ll do a deal, if I get 5 comments or questions on this page in the next 72 hours, I’ll spruce the meal plans up and make them available for everyone to download. Sound fair? Then click the big orange button and make a post below…[offer closed]Ian

22|Oct|2008 4Hi Verna,
Thanks for leaving your comments.
Congratulations, 1st 4lbs is great going! I find the best way to handle all the information is to find one author/expert whose style I like, then I focus on learning and applying the info step-by-step.

22|Sep|2009 8My biggest challenge is to stay motivated, I back at gym doing cardio and weights, at least 4 times a week. I’ve been doing this for almost 3 months now, and I can’t seem to be losing any weight or body fat.

25|Oct|2009 9Ian,
I am about to turn 59 in a couple of months. I’ve been working out religiously since January (about 10 months). I’ve been able to lose 60 lbs, but I am stagnating around 230. For the last 2 months, I drop down to 225 then back up to 235. I’ve changed up my routine to incorporate carb/protein cycling along with periodization and microperiodization and it’s making me stronger but I would like to see more definition in my arms as well as a stronger looking chest . Is that asking too much at this early stage or should I keep on doing what I’m doing and hope that 6 months down the road, I’ll like the results? Also, I’m having trouble with belly fat and love handles. In addition to weight training, I incorporate 30 minutes of HIIT 4 days per week and I walk 5 miles every day. Help!

14|Feb|2011 10I have psoratic arthritis and the worst affect place is my knees it is so painful sometimes I struggle to walk how can I exercise my legs?
Ian
26|Apr|2011 11@Keith, GREAT progress keep it up, but one thing at a time (for now). Given the quantity of cardio sessions you do each week the first thing I would do is re-examine your diet; if you want to keep losing weight you need to be in calorie deficit (see Calories in vs Calories Out)…are you training more and eating more – cancelling your deficit? Count calories over a couple of weeks and see where you are at. Keep dropping your body fat % and muscle definition will come as a bi-product. Secondly, I’d mix up your cardio sessions to keep challenging your body (it adapts quickly), drop a HIIT session for a longer mid-intensity run / row / swim etc…
Ian
26|Apr|2011 12@Sophie, to be honest I don’t really know much about psoratic arthritis, I can only recommend you consult your doctor about the best way to exercise without causing additional discomfort. Your best weapon for fat loss will be through your diet.
Ian
26|Apr|2011 13@Celeste, what are you doing in terms of your diet? Are you ensuring that you’re in calorie deficit (see Calories in vs Calories Out)?

29|Sep|2011 14Hi Ian.
i am not over weight (according to the doctor) however i have bits that wobble and need firming!!! in particular the dreaded wobbly arm or “bingo wing” as its called! with the cardio and diet to loose the fat what would be the best excercise i could do to tone that bit?
thanks and i have really enjoyed reading all your advice, what you say just makes so much sense!!!
