The No-Excuses Exercise Guide: Lesson 4
When you’re busy you need to have fitness equipment which is easily accessible and preferably something that you can take with you when you’re travelling.
You don’t need much to get an effective home workout. Here are some low cost suggestions to keep handy at home for a quick workout:
If you’ve got the cash you can splash out on other home gym equipment. But in reality you only really need a Swiss Ball, a set of dumb bells
and a yoga mat
. All for less than a $100! Don’t waste your time buying gimmick products you see on TV 90% don’t work.
When you’re travelling you obviously can’t carry a set of dumb bells everywhere you go. So all you really need are some resistance bands, a body weight workout program or fitness DVDs and your sports kit (including running trainers). You don’t need a lot. Just the essentials so that you can do your cardio and resistance training. Don’t overcomplicate things.
Warning: Don’t be tricked into buy semi-useless training aids. You’ll know which ones I mean. They’re sold using lots of hype, usually on TV. You don’t need them, you get a far better workout just using your own body weight and the tools I listed above. Ones to avoid include: e.g. ab swing machines, ab roller devices, thigh trainers…all those things – you don’t need, save your money.
