Remember any exercise is better than no exercise, so if you’re in rush you can put together a quick circuit (no equipment needed) from the program and burn calories (and fat) immediately. If you can only squeeze 10-15 minutes in at certain times of the day, this guide will become your workout ‘bible’.

Not only does it contain exercises you can do quickly and easily, it also takes into account your need to increase your workout duration and intensity as you get fitter. With different workouts for beginners all the way up to advanced workout routines, so you’ll always be challenged.

The Ultimate Workout Guide for the Road by Suzanne Schlosberg. Suzanne carried out a survey of hotels and airports to find ones which allows busy travellers to get in a workout while staying at a hotel or waiting for a connecting flight.

Here are a couple of the hotels (in the US) labelled as ‘fitness friendly’:

  • The Four Seasons, The Ritz Carlton, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Westin Hotels and Resorts.

Fitness Friendly Airports:

  • Chicago: O’Hare International Airport, Boston: Logan International Airport, Seattle: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

These airports have either facilities to get a workout done or to help you relax and get a massage.
