Yes, I’m a former chubby cheeks! You should see the pictures of me when I was a kid - in fact, not may remain, because I looked so bad I didn’t like to have my picture taken. I got ’stick’ (bullied) at school and was fairly unsuccessful with the girls. I know what it’s like to get called names, to used to hate having to go into school every day, to be the social reject - “I’ve got the t-shirt”. But life does change…
What got me started…
When I reach about 16 I realised that I had to do something about it. I studied sports science and just about every fitness magazine I could get my hands on. I gradually compiled the information I’d learned and slowly I developed my own training programs and started watching my diet really closely.
It took me about 12 months of hard work to see BIG differences and by the time I was 18, few people remembered my old self - I was in the best shape of my life.
Since then the real world has come along. I’ve put a pound or two back on, but manage to keep about 90% of it of. I now work as a freelance writer, and have set up this site to help others who have experienced similar situations to me, on their path to self discovery and a newer, healthier body.
#1 little-known fact you should know about me…My Achilles heal - my biggest, ‘baddest’ weakness when it comes to food is…Chocolate Raisins. Don’t let me near them because I’ll eat the lot! I occasionally give in, but always try to make up for it in the gym after. Besides raisins are fruit right?

Second little-known fact about me…I love going on long runs! That’s long boring cardio to most people. Not in the gym though. I like to get out into the countryside, get fresh air in my lungs, feel alive and appreciate the world. Does that me weird? I hope not.
The Magic Key For Burning Fat?
I’ve found a few things that contribute to getting the type of body you really deserve….
- Having the right information & guidance for you. Not everyone will be able to follow this system or that method - compile the best of the best information from different sources that you can actually use.
- Discipline and patience - don’t expect results overnight. It takes time and hard work.
- Watch what you put in your mouth. Your body is a like a car - you put petrol in a petrol car, diesel in diesel - You don’t put diesel in a petrol car. If you put rubbish in your mouth, you’ll get rubbish results.
- Weight training - whether you are a man or women you need to start training with weights. They’ll tone you up and burn fat.
- Aerobic training - get running, swimming or do any other physical activity that makes you breath heavily, if you’re not out of breath you’re not working hard enough.
- Do some maths - if you eat more food than you burn off in a day you’ll put on weight. Simple. If you eat more everyday than you burn off, by the end of the year - you’ll add MANY pounds to your body. Eat less exercise more.
